Anemone works slowly with her painting. They are built up through carefully made layers, which is an important part of her painting practice - slowing down, moving with care, openness and intuition. She mainly works with oil, but also acrylic ink, coloured pencil, graphite and oil pastels.
Rather than depicting something specific, she is interested in creating spaces that can hold complex feelings, while leaving small hints or traces of something that might be there. She thinks there is a vulnerability present in all of her work. It is an important part of how she understands herself and her practice - trying to turn her flaws into something strong.
Anemone is 25 years old, she lives in Copenhagen and is currently studying at Malmö Art Academy.
