Eloise Maier utilizes landscape imagery interlaid with elements of abstracted figures and bodily expressions in order to depict intimacy and interaction through a personal lens. She works in oil paint, using color and light to capture the sensations and tensions of these interactions. She works in layers which allows for an intuitive relationship with the materials. She is interested in patterns that emerge through observation.
