Flora Patern is an emerging artist based in South Shropshire. Largely self-taught, much of her work focuses on elements of her life as a single mother and the people and patterns of the surrounding hills. She works both from life and from her imagination, often creating dream like scenes of life in the countryside filled with nudity and humour.
Flora Patern grew up in Mid Wales entering her work in open exhibitions from a young age. She has exhibited at The Tabernacle, Mid Wales Art Centre, Shrewsbury Museum and others, as well as exhibiting and selling online. Alongside painting she runs a life drawing group in Bishops Castle and models for artists locally.
