The OPEN CALL 2025 seeks to explore the current range of approaches within the medium of paint, with the aim to create visual connections between an array of contemporary painters working today. We invite Artists internationally from all backgrounds to submit their work for inclusion.

This years OPEN CALL will culminate in a curated online group exhibition to be showcased on our website and promoted through our Instagram feed.

Paintingsince2000 was founded in June 2021 as an Instagram page to display contemporary painting produced since the year 2000. It has grown organically into a communal hub for viewing and sharing paintings and exhibitions from both emerging and established artists. 

Submission details

• Up to 3 digital jpeg images max 2MB

• Artists bio & short statement 

• Completed submissions form

• Entry fee £20 GBP 

Guidelines

• International Artists aged 18 +

• Work accepted: Painting (oil or water based) on substrate (a support such as canvas, linen, board, paper etc)

• Work produced in the last 3 years

• Work should be available for sale

• Ideally work needs to be suitable for international shipping (small scale)

Key information

• Entry deadline - October 31st 2025 (11.59pm GMT)

• The results will be announced via our Instagram feed towards the end of November 2025.

• The online exhibition will run from December 1st 2025 until January 31st 2026.
