Peter Dalla Costa

Peter Dalla Costa’s paintings are based on his experience of having grown up in Trinidad and then subsequent visits to the country. He studied painting, printmaking and graphic design at Art College in the UK. He then embarked on a career in textile design creating designs and collections for leading soft furnishing companies and fashion houses in the UK, Europe and the USA. Dalla Costa creates images with a real sense of place that avoid being overly descriptive or topographical. Colour plays an important role in his work. He currently lives and works in London and has exhibited in mixed shows in the UK. Dalla Costa’s work is held in private collections in the UK, the West Indies and the Caribbean and the USA.
